In 2020, Lauren achieved - with distinction - her MA in Fashion Textile Practices and has since been working on her practice as a printmaker and designer with a passion for creating a sense of place through print. 

 

She specialises in screen-printing, exploring mark-making and abstract styles through hands-on printmaking techniques. She creates textiles and artwork for the home, inspired by nature and natural environments, exploring design practices such as Biophilic design and colour psychology with the intention of creating positive emotional responses and nurturing an appreciation for nature.

Since November 2021, Lauren has been based at KIN.DER, a creative cooperative space, on Arundel St, in Glossop.  Here, Lauren works on projects with other creatives in the collective such as Glossop Creates, Local and Dark Peak Press as well as working on her own practice in the print studio. She also delivers Screen-Printing and Risograph printing workshops at KIN.DER with Richard Knox/ Dark Peak Press. 

 

In June 2022, Lauren was awarded DYCP Arts Council funding to work on her Project - Print & Place: A Creative Response To Glossop's Textile Heritage .
